Have you ever wanted to try meditating?
Perhaps you think you’re too busy or your mind races too much to sit and meditate.
But that’s like saying “I’m too hungry to eat” or “I’m too tired to sleep”…and it’s EXACTLY the reason why a simple meditation practice is so important.
If your mind is uneasy, imagine you’re holding a glass of water with your arm outstretched. It wouldn’t be difficult for the first few minutes, but what about after an hour? Or a day? Or a week? Or a year?
Your arm would become numb, painful, and perhaps paralyzed.
So why not just put the glass down?
Of course, letting go of racing thoughts isn’t quite as easy as putting down a glass of water. But it gets easier with practice.
And that practice is called meditation.
So please enjoy this short, beginner’s meditation wherever you are right now. All you need is a chair and a few minutes undisturbed. You have nothing to lose except your racing thoughts…and everything in the world to gain.

Mike’s quote of the week:
We are here on earth for peace.
This may not have always been known.
This may not even be our reality now.But it can be.
What I’m pondering:
I watched the movie “Ghost” with Alisa last night (for the first time in several decades), and it gave me this overwhelming sense of gratitude for being alive, and being able to touch, hold, hug, and kiss loved ones…to see them and be seen by them. Perhaps it’s time for a rewatch for you too? (It’s currently available on HBO Max)
Things I’ve shared recently:
It’s Official: Mental Health Awareness Month is now EVERY Month!
Memorial Day Message: If aliens landed today, they would see one race: Humanity.
Why I swore off marriage and how glad I am to have changed my mind.
Managers delegate tasks. Leaders delegate authority.
